Our Company
Sheldrake Point Vineyard, LLC. is a New York State Limited Liability Company founded in 1997. The company is licensed as a New York State Winery and owns and operates a 155 acre farm located on the shores of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes, a vineyard of 44 acres planted to Vinifera vines, a winery producing 6000 cases and Simply Red Bistro serving savory American cuisine. Our current Members are Chuck Tauck as Senior Managing Partner (principal owner) and Bob Madill as Winegrower, General Manager and Partner.

Our mission is to provide guests with a hospitable and entertaining experience by providing a respectful, warm welcome and gracious service. We are stewards of our vineyard land, with a commitment to sustainable wine growing practices and respect for the environment of our site and our neighbors. We produce distinctive estate wines and value-priced wines, each with a personality that reflects the character of our site and the Finger Lakes. The growth of our employees is fostered and their contributions acknowledged and rewarded.
Our guests enjoy an integrated offering of estate wines of recognized quality and value, wine inspired cuisine and related services. Our waterfront location, manicured gardens, attractive facilities, picnic areas, vineyards, and estate wine production form the basis of our ability to emphasize the pleasurable and unpretentious connection among people, the land, wine, food and fun. We educate our guests to the healthful and pleasurable benefits of the responsible consumption of wine and food and our program encompasses the needs of visitors touring the Finger Lakes.
