Our lakeside setting among vineyards and gardens is perfect for special private events. From mid-May to early October, we host wedding receptions for up to 120 guests: on Saturdays from 3-10 pm, and on Sundays 2-9 pm. Open-air on-site ceremonies are popular, given the tranquil beauty of the landscape with its cascading lawns, lake views, and big sky above. In case of rain, vows are exchanged inside the covered reception pavilion.

Our 1850s farmhouse has been remodeled to include heating and air conditioning. Our couples may use the elegant “Wedding Parlor” before, during and after the ceremony. The Wedding Parlor includes a great room (15 by 22 ft) complete with a private bathroom, triple full length mirror, vanity tables, chairs and Persian carpets. The adjacent parlor (15 by 16 ft) has a working fireplace and small, private bar with mini-refrigerator. The two rooms can be divided by a pocket door so both partners can prepare simultaneously for the ceremony in privacy.

From the great room, double French doors of our farmhouse face an adjacent garden terrace (30 by 30 ft) set with flagstone. A brick paved promenade connects to a modern, freestanding, all weather, heated pavilion (40 by 50 ft) that can accommodate 120 guests comfortably. This facility is attached to a turn-of- the-century barn (previously our barrel room), now a complete hospitality facility with air conditioning, kitchen, bar, and bathrooms. Wedding events can make full use of these interconnected facilities for bride's room, photographs, presentation of wedding cake and gifts, dining, entertainment and dancing.

Wedding ceremonies are spectacular on our expansive lawns overlooking our vineyards, gardens and Cayuga Lake.

Our Hospitality Manager will work with you to develop your itinerary of activities, selection of dishes paired with our Estate wines, and entertainment. We can even arrange for your guests to experience a tour of Sheldrake Point's winery facilities.

We can accommodate up to about 60 cars in designated parking areas. Some wedding parties have arranged small or large coaches to transport guests as a group. For further information, www.goswarthout.com.
